Pawpaw Pickles
Ingredients:
 1 or 2 large firm ripe pawpaws
(enough to make 5 cups diced fruit when peeled and seeded)
3 cups sugar
1 cup vinegar
1 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
1 teaspoon whole cloves
Juice and finely grated rind of 1/2 small lemon Steps 1. Make
asyrup of the sugar, vinegar and ginger by boiling together for about 10
minutes.
2. Add the pawpaw, lemon juice and rind, and the cloves and cook until
the fruit is transparent.
3 Pack into hot sterilized jars and store in refrigerator, or sea[ with
paraffin.
